Rohtang Pass

Rohtang Pass, situated at an elevation of 3,978 meters (13,050 feet), is a high mountain pass in the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas. Located about 51 km from Manali, it connects the Kullu Valley with the Lahaul and Spiti Valleys of Himachal Pradesh. The name “Rohtang” translates to “pile of corpses,” referencing the deadly snowstorms that historically posed challenges for travelers.
